In a run up to the preparation for Connecting Cities events in Madrid, Helsinki and Liverpool, we are invited to Media Lab Prado in Madrid to work with whoever is interested and able to help on producing our device.
While working on it for past months we met with some issues, which we decided to share with community of makers, electronic engineers and enthusiasts in hope that together we can overcome those issues. As the device to measure and transmit action and variation potential will be released by us under Open Source/Open Hardware Licence, we figured out that to shout out for help to community will be a good start of doing it.
Our main challenge is to produce an Arduino shield which we can connect to electrodes. We are looking for solution to be able to amplify the tiny voltages of the action and variation potentials and output those on a scale suited for the arduino. We also need to find which type of electrodes will be the best for a purpose Organic Cinema so that the signal coming from the electrodes can be easily and effectively filtered.
